Located in Amstelveen, this delicatessen shop is one of my favourite place for sandwich lunch. Fresh products, creative menu which means fancy looking sandwiches for a reasonable price, around €5 or less. There is a small area where you can dine and have excellent coffee or smoothies.
Word of advice , don’t come late for lunch or else they run out of breads. Try to be there before 2.30pm. There is a free parking only at selected spots , the first row near the mall. The rest is paid parking. This is not your usual kind of botterham sandwich place 🙂
My usual order : Club Daphne (krokante panchela, avocado, tomaat, komkommer, gerookte kip, rucola en club dressing), Broodje Jan (rosbief, truffelmayonaise, pijnboompitten, rucola en parmigiano reggiano), Japanse Omelet (Gebakken ei met japanse kruiden, wakamé, wasabimayonaise, bosuitjes en sesamzaadjes).
Pros: Friendly service. Reasonable price for a fantastic sandwich with a choice of different types of breads. Cheese, sandwiches, salads, coffee,smoothies, juices. Eat-in , take-away , delivery or fax/order online and pick up later (if you are ordering for your office).
Cons: Don’t be late for lunch. A lot of office workers during lunch time.
