Pompadour Amsterdam

Located near the canals in downtown Amsterdam, you can’t miss Pompadour. What I like about this quaint little shop is the ambience. It has that French style deco.

The cakes and little tarts are pretty. But they are a little too sweet for my liking even with the combination of the sweetness of chocolade and sourness of the berries they are quite bland. A little bit disappointed with the cakes probably because I had high expectations after reading the reviews from Tripadvisor. I expect more flavours, creativity etc.

A piece of cake is around €4.50-€5.50 per piece.

The place is also a tearoom so you can sit in for a cuppa tea and the sweets.

Service wise you don’t get that much here.
